Quests, Alliances and Guilds

Quests
In some open ended games players can find themselves wandering aimlessly without goals or purposes. Crasimoff’s Quest World has been carefully designed to prevent this from happening. The long term goals of your group are entirely your own decision but throughout the game you will be provided with opportunities to accept short term objectives or tasks, otherwise known as Quests. You may decide which to accept and which to ignore but all provide some opportunity to advance your skills or gain knowledge and wealth.

Whenever you visit towns there will be opportunities to find new tasks and quests for your characters to undertake. Some of these will be fairly simple such as delivering an item to a nearby town but others will be more complex, involving the solving of several different
problems with a combination of detective work, travel and combat.

At the completion of each Quest your characters will receive a bonus number of experience points to add to those gained through other activities and depending upon the nature of the quest they may also be rewarded by the quest's sponsor.

Heroic Quests
Not all Quests however come by an offer of work in a town, some come from special encounters. Groups can occasionally stumble upon people in distress, ancient ruins or even lost spirits, all of which can lead a group down the path of Heroic Quests.

Alliances and Guilds
Crasimoff's Quest World can be a very social game and often players become firm friends and wish to forge alliances (or guilds). Some are formed on religious grounds, some on mutual protection and others for world domination! If an alliance becomes official, then the alliance has its own HQ within a city of its choosing which it can furnish and even open a shop to sell items and services from.

There are three types of Alliance:

1] Underground - The alliance is a secret organisation set up between groups without the knowledge of Crasiworld or most other players.
2] Recognised - The main type of alliance.
3] Official - To form an official alliance, at least 5 member groups including the leader’s must get together in their chosen city at the time of entering an Alliance Form. The shop number they choose for their Alliance HQ must be unused, e.g. ruined hovel, empty warehouse, vandalised shop, etc. The head of the alliance must have 30,000’os stored in the bank, which will be used to buy the alliance HQ property and land.

Alliance News Message
Each recognised or official alliance is allowed to have one advert printed in the Local Town News which can be bought from every 'News' shop. Email your message to Crasiworld with the subject <Alliance News>

1) Messages should start with the alliance name, and then up to 250 chars of wording followed by a contact address and email address.
2) The message should be written in the style of the game to add roleplay and atmosphere (as though it came from the Alliance Leader).
3) Messages should be changed not more than once a month but at least once every two months.
4) ALL email and letters you receive are to be replied to.
5) Information which may spoil a player's enjoyment, such as spell codes, should not be given away.

Official Alliance Rules
Some rules to bear in mind:

1) Fellow alliance members can not attack each other accidentally.
2) Your alliance can have attitudes against other alliances which overrule your party's attitudes against the other party.
3) Your alliance must maintain at least five active members. Any fewer than this and it is likely to fall apart. Should this happen all its remaining buildings will revert back to their original state and any remaining funds will be split between the remaining members according to their time in the alliance.
4) There is a maximum size of an alliance of 100 parties.
5) A party can only be in one official alliance at a time.
6) Different parties run by the same person in the same game may be in different alliances if they want.
7) If yours is a religious alliance then the head and recruiter get a printout of your alignment. It is up to them to encourage your devotion if it is lacking!
8) If you end your turn in a city where there is one of your HQs your party will automatically get free board and lodging there.

If you have just become a member of an official alliance, the new orders you may now are listed here. Official Alliance Orders

Money
The standard unit of currency on Crasimoff's World is the orak. Oraks are small gold coins, most of which were minted before the collapse of the Astoff Empire. Some merchant groups have produced their own currency in the form of Guilders which are freely accepted, being the same size and weight as oraks. The various forms of currency all come under the general title of GOLD.
