Chat List
In addition to the hundreds of player controlled groups, each game of Crasimoff’s World is populated with numerous NPCs (Non Player Characters). Some will be hostile but others will be ordinary peaceful citizens of the world such as shopkeepers, pilgrims and the likes. If you approach them in a calm, reasonable manner they will be quite happy to talk to you. There is also a chance that they may have special information which could be very valuable.

Each player group has a 'Chat List' of up to twenty words. Whenever you meet an NPC your Chat List will be compared with that of the NPC. If any words match, the NPC will tell you something on that subject.

You may add four words to your chat list each turn. A 'word' can consist of up to twenty letters including spaces  but not punctuation or numbers. Just write the words you wish to add in the space in the special orders section of  your turn card. If this brings the total on your list to more than twenty words,  the oldest one will be deleted. To remove a specific word, write the number of the word in your chat list. e.g. to remove the sixth word, you would write 6.

In general, the only words which should be used are names of one kind or another. Recommended words to start with are the names of gods, towns, dungeons, and monster classes. To start you off, a few names will already be on your chat list.

Communicating with Other Players

Correspondence
When you meet a group belonging to another player you will be told that player's name, email and postal address, and he will receive yours. This allows you to contact another player directly and exchange information, make joint plans, negotiate deals and more. We heartily recommend that you write to other players that you meet in the game.

When you are first contacted by another player, please don't send a whole bunch of information back which is not asked for. Part of the fun for beginning players is in
discovering this for themselves. If they wish to receive lots of information, let them ask for it first.

Please remember that Crasimoff’s World is played by people of all ages for pleasure and amusement. It is against the rules, and the spirit of the game, to use obscene language, or to insult other players in your correspondence. (Mild insults directed against their party is of course allowed and a popular element of play!)

Crasimoff Chronicles
Another special feature in Crasimoff's Quest World is the newsletter which is sent out every few weeks. This contains articles about the world written by both the Gamesmaster and Players. There are player messages, rumours, short stories, puzzles from the Puzzle Masters and much more. All of it is written in a way so as to give a real feel for the world. If you want to contribute to the Chronicles, simply send in your contribution by email with the subject <Chronicles>. There is also an on-line version of the Chronicles filled with articles, artwork, stories and messages.

Official Alliances
As you will see by reading a town newspaper or in the Chronicles, there are a number of player controlled alliances. The largest alliances can become officially recognised by buying a derelict shop and converting it into their headquarters. Official alliances have their own number, similar to a party or monster group, which can be used in attitude orders. Click here to discover more about Alliances.

There is a special form for creating alliances. However, there is no need to join an alliance to enjoy Crasimoff’s Quest World.

The Tavern
This is the place to come and unwind and chat to other fellow adventurers. Click here to pay the Tavern a visit.
