'...so
it was written, one day they would return...That day is now...They're back!'
The City of Myrne
Moving along a tortuously
winding alleyway, you head through a narrow archway
which leads onto a crowded
avenue. Traffic, mostly pedestrian but including
the occasional wagon drawn
by plodding oxen, fills the road like a babbling
stream. Passing amongst the
shops and stalls, you dodge the clutching fingers
of eager merchants. Strange
odours drift from powder shops and you pass
beneath the shadow of a great
spiral tower, one of the buildings of the new
Emperor. Peasants shun the
place, fearful of the mysterious passing its
windows and the strange sounds
heard at night.
Turning a corner you find
the clamour of commerce fades into the distance and
droning chants start to fill
the air. People in strange dress beseech the
passersby to bow before their
god and make donations before they are damned.
Walking further you reach
a crossroads where you find that a turn to the left
will take you to the luxurious
dwellings of the wealthy and noble-born. Fine
crafted buildings of stone
with roofs of slate. A turn to the right will send
you into the crowded ghetto
of the poor where a privy means an open window and
halfbreed snap gangs wait
for night to fall. This is Myrne and here adventure
awaits around ever corner,
you just have to know where to look.

City of Myrne
Myrne
is the Southern Capitol of the continent of Pelandar and was once a small
settlement set amidst a sea of ancient ruins. Since the invasion,
it
has rapidly become a bustling metropolis and trade port.
Much
building work has taken place with a lot of new buildings being formed
on and from the ruins of the past. The Emperor continues to order more
and more impressive constructions, inlcuding huge spiral towers.
Unlike
many other cities and towns, the inhabitants of Myrne are happy with the
rule of the new Empire considering the great prosperity it has brought
to their once failing town.

Mayor Elagas Starweaver - for the Empire
